Jerry Blaine was born in 1936 in Dallas, Texas. When he was 2 years old, his parents moved to California, first living in San Francisco, then in Santa Rosa. Jerry was always very athletic in high school, participating in all sports, and also loved music and drama. After graduating from high school, he joined the King Brothers Circus with an acrobatic act and stayed with the circus for one year. Then he decided to get more education and went to Michigan State College, but still wasn't satisfied, so he quit college and went to New York to study acting. In New York he played in many summer stock theaters as an actor, singer and dancer. he then decided to take his fling to Hollywood and received an audition from Producer Herman Cohen for 'Blood of Dracula' and was signed for the part. Jerry also wrote the song "Puppy Love" for the picture. He also contributed "Eenie Meenie Miny Mo" for 'I Was a Teenage Werewolf.'
