Moritz Borman

Producer Moritz Borman was born 1955 in Germany. He is a graduate of the 'American Film Institute' and has been living in Los Angeles since 1976. He began his career in 1970 as a producer for German television and director of commercials. In the late 1980's he started to produce feature films. Moritz Borman's productions include big-budget films like _Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines (2003)_ by Jonathan Mostow, The Life of David Gale (2003) by Alan Parker, K-19: The Widowmaker (2002) by Kathryn Bigelow and award-winning independent films like Under the Volcano (1984) by John Houston, The Lightship (1985) by Jerzy Skolimowski, Homer and Eddie (1989) by Andrey Konchalovskiy, Nurse Betty (2000) by Neil LaBute and The Quiet American (2002) by Phillip Noyce. He was awarded the Bavarian Film Award for Seven Minutes (1989) by Klaus Maria Brandauer. Borman already worked five times with multiple Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone on ambitious and controversial projects like Alexander (2004), World Trade Center (2006), W. (2008), Savages (2012) and the upcoming Snowden (2016).
