Gannon Brown, Actor. Known for starring in national commercials, television shows and motion pictures. The son of a U.S. Marine Corp Pilot and Computer Programmer, Gannon was born in New York and raised in Philadelphia. His family moved to California when he was 14 years old. While he dreamed of becoming a professional athlete, his younger sisters dreamed of becoming actresses. His mother decided, "Whatever I do for one, I will do for them all." She encouraged Gannon to get headshots and attend prospective agent meetings with his siblings. In short order, the Browns landed representation and things soon took off for Gannon. He starred in national commercials for companies like AMC, Wal-Mart, Kellogg's, AT&T, Sunny Delight, Burger King and many others. He also began appearing on television shows such as "Coach," "Charmed" and had a recurring role on "Sister, Sister." After high school, Gannon transitioned into movies, landing roles in "187," "The Truman Show" and "The Color of Courage," alongside stars such as Samuel L. Jackson, Jim Carrey and Linda Hamilton. Despite his success, he never forgot the fundamentals his parents taught him: he used his acting proceeds to finance a college education and help provide for his family. Upon graduating from the University of Southern California with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Brown transitioned out of entertainment. He began a successful career in corporate America and, ultimately, became an award-winning pharmaceutical executive before launching his own healthcare company.
