Betty A. Buckley

Elizabeth A. (Betty) Buckley brings a passionate curiosity to her work as a freelance producer and creative consultant for original film, television and streaming entertainment. Recent work includes producing the comedy special "Gina Brillon: Easily Offended" for HBO Latino and the indie film "Edge of the World" with director Randy Redroad. In 2017, she produced the limited streaming series "Eclipse Across America" for Curiosity Stream. Other television includes the IMAX sponsored PBS series "Ain't it Cool with Harry Knowles." Serving as director of development, as well as supervising producer for 1080 Entertainment she developed, sold and produced the blue chip specials "Eclipse: Easter Island" & "Nostradamus 2012" as well as the series "Jurassic Fight Club". In 2006, she co-created "Its Easy Being Green", one of the first eco-series for the Scripps Network (HGTV/Fine Living). Best known for producing fifty half hours of "Wishbone" the award-winning PBS children's series, she received a Peabody for her work, and the series garnered five Emmy Awards. Other awards include a Gracie for producing a WIF.Dallas PSA for Gilda's Club, featuring the voice of Meryl Streep. Founder of Women in Film.Dallas, she received the organization's Achievement Award.
