Martin Byrne-Quinn

Martin is a professionally trained actor in film, television and theatre. He was born in England and his heritage is Anglo Indian with Armenian, Portuguese and Irish descent. He graduated Swansea University with Joint Honours in English & Drama and then trained at the Lee Strasberg Institute London and New York, 1989. During the early 90's, Martin worked in the UK in film, television and theatre. He was the second lead in the award winning Cold Light of Day which won the UCCA Venticittà Award at the Venice Film Festival 1990. In 1996, he moved to Australia and chose to leave the industry and explore aviation. In 2017, after nearly 20 years away from the business, he landed the opportunity to be a presenter/cook on a web based cooking show, Eating With Soula where he was awarded Best Guest Star at the New Jersey Web festival in 2018. Following this experience, he signed up with a model agency, Silverfox Management that represented mature talent and began to book TV commercials for Isuzu, Bet365, Youi, Cancer NSW and AMP, to name a few. He became an Ambassador for his agency and 'age equality', and realised his teenage dream of being a bodybuilder, taking to the stage in 2020 at the age of 56 and winning Gold in the First Timers, Silver in Over 40's and placing 5th in the Nationals. He lives by the motto "Anything is possible at any age" 2023 sees Martin returning to acting after a 25 year hiatus. He is over joyed to be represented by TCM Agency and has become an ongoing member of Hub Studios studying with Jo Briant and Lyn Pierse and Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop with Amy Kersey.
