Born in 1972 in San Diego to a Cuban-American father and German mother, Cameron Diaz describes herself as adventurous and independent. Diaz's most notable credits include the "Charlie's Angels" films, her role as Princess Fiona in the "Shrek" series and starring roles in "Any Given Sunday," "Knight and Day," "The Holiday," "The Green Hornet" and "Bad Teacher." She earned four Golden Globe nominations for her roles in "Being John Malkovich," "Vanilla Sky" and "Gangs of New York," but in recent years decided to retire from acting to focus on her personal projects and family.
