Michael Caine is an acclaimed British actor known for his long career in film and his particular English accent. He had his beginnings working as a production assistant in a theater, and there he developed his vocation as an actor. He gained recognition as one of the most famous actors of the 1960s thanks to his role in Zulu (1964) and later acted in Alfie (1966), where he received his first Oscar nomination. Over the years, Caine has been increasing his prestige as an actor, playing more complex and demanding roles, he worked in more than 100 films, of which some are: Sleuth (1972), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), California suite (1979), Victory (1980,) Sweet Liberty (1986), Mandela and de Klerk (1997), Little Voice (1998), Now you see me (2013). He also lent his voice to films such as Cars 2 and Gnomeo and Juliet. He has collaborated with Christopher Nolan in several of his films, including the Batman trilogy, Inception (2010) and Interstellar (2014). Caine has won two Oscar Awards, one for Hannah and Her Sisters (1986), and another for The Cider House Rules (1999). He also won three Golden Globes for Best Actor, and has won a British Academy Film Award. He announced his retirement in 2023, at the age of 91, leaving a vast legacy, his iconic performances will continue to inspire and entertain future generations.
