"An actor should never be larger than the film he's in." Christian Bale is a British actor who has starred in films of various genres and is recognized for his versatility and physical transformations for his roles. He is one of the most important representatives of the method acting of his generation. Bale began his career in theater, but at the age of 13 he made his film debut in a Spielberg film, Empire of the Sun (1987), and during the following years he appeared in different films.
