“In comedy, timing is everything.” American actor, film director, comedian and singer. He began his career working in nightclubs and comedy clubs while he was still in school. He later released two comedy specials: his first album, titled simply Eddie Murphy, was released in 1982, and the following year he released Delirious. Thanks to the success of these specials, his next concert film, Eddie Murphy Raw, had a wide theatrical release. Murphy gained national attention as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (SNL), where he stood out as one of the show's most influential contributors. In fact, he ranked No. 10 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 greatest stand-ups of all time. In 1982, he made his big screen debut in the film 48 Hrs. Since then, he has appeared in more than sixty films in a variety of genres, from comedy to drama. In addition, he has received multiple nominations and awards throughout his career.
