Josh Brolin

A lot of actors have them, but in reality most of those people are just sensitive artists dying for a hug and a compliment.” American actor recognized for his film debut in the cult classic The Goonies (1985). Son of renowned actor and activist James Brolin, his interest in acting came after he took an improvisation class in high school. After The Goonies, Brolin participated in Thrashin' (1986), but not being satisfied with his performance, he focused on television for the following years. In the mid-nineties, Brolin returned to the big screen and appeared in a series of high-profile films, although his status remained elusive. These included Flirting with Disaster (1996), Mimic (1997), and Nightwatch (1997). He later starred opposite Kevin Bacon in Hollow Man (2000), about a group of scientists who test an invisibility formula on a colleague. Also in 2000, Brolin made his Broadway debut in a production of Sam Shepard's True West. Brolin achieved stardom in 2007 with three films: Planet Terror, American Gangster, and No Country for Old Men (an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel). The latter was a commercial and critical success, and Brolin was especially acclaimed for his performance. This helped him to participate in other important projects that demonstrated his acting versatility such as in W (2008), Milk (2008) for which he earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, True Grith (2010), Inherent Vice (2014), Sicario (2015) and its sequel Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Deadpool 2 (2018), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
