An internationally award-winning filmmaker, Lance Dreesen is a member of the Writers Guild of America and partner in an independent film production company, Red Five Entertainment, Inc., with offices in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also a freelance producer/editor, and film acting and screenwriting instructor. Dreesen's current project, End the Wait, which he will produce and direct, centers on the dire need for live kidney donation through the inspirational true story of Russell Dallas and Randy Simpkins. The goal of the film is to bring awareness to the cause, and inspire people to donate -- ending the wait for those on dialysis and saving 100,000+ lives. Dreesen's directorial debut, "Terror Tract" (which he also produced) was both a critical and financial success. Starring John Ritter and Bryan Cranston, "Terror Tract" was purchased by the USA Network and has won top honors at film festivals in Europe and the United States. The film also enjoyed a theatrical release in France and Latin America. Dreesen's film "The Way Home" (which he wrote, directed and edited), starred Dean Cain, was released by Lionsgate. The film is an inspirational true story about the search for a missing two year-old child and the crisis of faith the parents and community endure. "The Way Home" also had a television premiere on cable channel UPtv, where it set new ratings records. Dreesen's previous writing and directing effort, "Big Bad Wolf", starring Richard Tyson and Kimberly J. Brown, was released by Screen Media and Universal Home Video in 2007. The film has received rave reviews, won top honors at film festivals and has an enthusiastic online fan base. Dreesen also produced the supernatural thriller "Conjurer", starring John Schneider, which was an official selection at the 2008 Slamdance Film Festival -- and had a successful premiere on Showtime. Dreesen's writing credits include "Charlie's Ghost Story", a feature film directed by Anthony Edwards and starring Cheech Marin, and "Arthur's Quest", starring Ayre Gross, for Crystal Sky Entertainment. In addition, he has written and developed projects for numerous production companies and studios, including Universal Pictures and Fox Television. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and two sons. He is an avid cinephile, cyclist, and Bulldog fan.
