An award winning actor, director of theater and film, performance coach and teacher, Adler's acting credits include ABC/Disney's "High School Musical: Get in the Picture," NBC's "Profiler," FOX's "Kitchen Confidential," Academy Award nominee Jonathan Heap's film "Plan B," Sundance phenom Drake Daremus' "The Beauty Inside. " Adler received an LA Weekly Theater Award for his work in the Best Play of 2006: "Marat/Sade," directed by Patrick J Adams, star of NBCs "Suits." He has also performed in a host of commercials. In 2013 Adler helmed the film 'iVOTE' starring Eric Roberts, Dan Lauria & Sharon Lawrence. Rob Adler is the founder and Artistic Director of AdlerImprov (www.adlerimprov.com) and has worked as an on-camera acting coach at ABC/Disney for prime time television and serves as an on-set coach to actors working in films and television. Adler's teaching has been sought out by the most prestigious actors and institutions including: USC, CalArts, the Geffen Playhouse, Boston University, Occidental College and the Bahamas International Film Festival. A long time activist, Adler was a co-founder of the (American) Campaign to End the Death Penalty and has worked tirelessly on issues of peace and progress. The marriage of art and activism is Adler's artistic mission; directing myriad plays including "Paul Robeson: The Artist Must Take Sides" in Chicago, devising and directing "Patriot Act" starring acclaimed performer Roger Guenveur Smith (Do the Right Thing, American Gangster, K-Street), continuing a long time affiliation with Los Angeles' Bootleg Theater. Adler directed and produced "Rise & Shout," starring Joe Mantegna, Jack Klugman, Jean Smart & Wendy Mallick to benefit the Will Geer Theater where he was a company member for nearly a decade. An expert in Improvisational Acting, Adler studied in Chicago at The Theater School/Goodman School of Drama (alums include John C Reilly, Joe Mantegna, Judy Greer), in the UK at BADA and also holds a certificate in Film Directing from UCLA.
