Patrick J. Andersen was born and grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. His parents were John Murray Wieman, a sportswriter for the Baltimore Sun and scout for the Detroit Tigers Baseball Team, and Gladys Carlon, daughter of Loyal Carlon, conductor and violin teacher for the Peabody Institute in Baltimore. Patrick, a baseball pitcher for the University of Maryland, was injured during spring training with the Baltimore Orioles in 1972 and moved to New York City where he was a successful worldwide model for fifteen years. There, he studied acting with renowned teacher, Larry Moss and singing with Paul Gavert of Broadway fame. He later moved to Los Angeles and studied with Stella Adler, among others. He has performed on stage, in films, and on television in commercials and series episodes. He recently returned to his acting pursuits after teaching Special Education and coaching baseball.
