Jean Anouilh was born on June 23, 1910 in Bordeaux, Gironde, France as Jean Marie Lucien Pierre Anouilh. He was a writer and director, known for Two Pennies Worth of Violets (1951), Le voyageur sans bagages (1944) and Monsoon (1952). He was married to Nicole Lançon and Monelle Valentin. He died on October 3, 1987 in Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland.
