Mark started his career in finance and management consulting before investing in his first feature film 'Mainline Run' in 1995. Three years later he took the plunge and became a full time producer, co-writing and producing the feature film 'Distant Shadow' which made more than 4 times it's budget. Seeing the opportunities film financing in the United Kingdom offered, Mark co-founded 'Studio Finance,' a UK Film tax shelter utilizing the UK Government's Section 48 Tax breaks for film production before going on to consult for film financing group, 'UKFS' backed by Guernsey based Channel House Trustees. In their three years of operating, UKFS were responsible for more than $300 million of tax shelter film financing for the UK film industry. It was here acting as a Senior Finance Executive that he oversaw such films as 'Wake of Death,' 'Modigliani,' 'School for Seduction,' 'Out of Season' and 'Battle of the Brave' among others. In 2004 Mark moved to Los Angeles where he consulted for various production companies and independent producers, was Head of Entertainment for Exemplar Capital an East Coast Investment Bank and Law Firm and created a $150m film fund structure with advisers who had more than $3bn in box office successes. Some of the projects he has been instrumental in developing or setting up at various companies are Animated Horror 'Down Satan' in partnership with re-known Horror Author 'Clive Barker'; Supernatural Thriller 'Indelible' being Directed by National Film Award Winner 'Howard J Ford' (The Dead 1&2, Never Let Go); 'Kill the Messenger' from the creator of (RoboCop), 'Michael Miner,' and the Epic Western 'The Girl With No Name' in conjunction with Co-Op Entertainment and LegionM being directed by 'Tanya Wexler'. In 2018 Mark produced the movie 'Dead Water' starring 'Casper Van Dien' and 'Judd Nelson,' released by Saban. He is currently head of Finance and Production for 828 Media Capital and 828 Productions where he has been instrumental in the financing of The Last Son, Those Who Walk Away and The Requin and the acquisition of numerous film and television properties set for production in 2021/22 He holds a UK National Diploma in Business and Finance and Certificate of Achievement for Contract Law from Harvard University and consults with investors and independent producers while developing, packaging and producing through his own company 'MugShot Films'. Mark lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and dog 'Piper'.
