Singer/songwriter Renee Armand began her professional career at age seventeen performing with John Handy's fusion band in San Francisco, California. Renee was discovered in a bar in San Francisco at age twenty by Tony Bennett and mentored by Carmen McRae. Armand released her first solo album "The Rain Book" in 1972. Armand has sung backing vocals on albums for such notable artists as John Denver, Linda Ronstadt, Michael Jackson (she also co-wrote the song "One Day in Your Life" for Jackson), Emmylou Harris, and Little Feat. Moreover, Renee not only co-wrote the hit country song "Boney Fingers" for Hoyt Axton, but also sang the hit song "The Morning After" on the soundtrack for the 1970's disaster classic The Poseidon Adventure (1972). In addition, Armand has performed live in Japan, Europe, Australia (The Sydney Opera House), and the United States (Madison Square Garden in New York City). Renee released her second solo album "In Time" in 1978. This was followed by her third solo album "Listen" in 2011. Armand lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
