He was born in Istanbul in 1972 as the son of a civil servant family. He entered Marmara University Faculty of Communication. His 32-minute short film named "Dat Poenas Luidata Fides", which he shot during his university years, received honorable mention at the 7th Adana Golden Boll Student Films Competition. His first feature film Sen Ne Dilersen, starring Isik Yenersu, Zeynep Eronat, Isin Karaca, Fikret Kuakan and Yildiz Kenter, won an award in the category of Promising New Script Writer at the 17th Ankara International Film Festival. The script of the movie "Merhamet" was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and was selected for the Balkan Fund. The theater play "Bak Kim Dansediyor", which he wrote in 1994, was staged under the direction of Sevim Gozay. In addition, the play "Cin'Sel Problemler", written and directed by himself, was performed in various stages. He also supported Dervis Zaim's "Mud/Camu" and Handan Ipekci's "Big Man Little Love/Buyuk Adam, Kucuk Ask" as a costume designer. He gave lectures on screenplay at Istanbul University, Faculty of Communication, 'IFSAK', and Digital Film Academy for many years. "Goodbye Katya", a film for which he was the script consultant, returned from the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival with three Golden Oranges, as the People's Jury, Best Film, Best Actress, and Best Music, and the Best Screenplay at the Frankfurt Film Festival. won the award. Under the name of Dramatic Maneuvers, he continues to give screenplay lessons and directing training, film reading workshops and script consultancy. He gives lectures at academic level in institutions such as Istanbul University and Galatasaray University. Since 2010, he has been giving lectures in Film Reading workshops by considering the interdisciplinary art approach and the relationship between cinema and other arts in a multidimensional way. He continues to live in the neighborhood where he was born because he tries to live the old Istanbul neighborhood culture.
