Vladimir Petrovich Danilevich is Soviet, Russian film director, animator, artist. In 1947 Danilevich graduated from the courses of animator artists at the Soyuzmultfilm studio and then began working at the studio as an artist, animator, and since 1957 - as a director and animator. At the first stage of directing, Vladimir Danilevich collaborated with the master of domestic animation Ivan Ivanov-Vano. Films were created in the creative community: The Lefthander (1964), How One Peasant Fed Two Generals (1965), Go There, Don't Know Where (1966) (full-length), The Legend About the Terrible Giant (1967), Ave Maria (1972). Since 1968, the director worked in the field of three-dimensional puppet animation, which at that time reached a high artistic level. The result of a fruitful joint activity with Vladimir Degtyaryov was the films The Tale of the Snow Maiden (1957) and Visiting the Gnomes (1975).
