Denice Nortez is a Cuban American SAG/ AFTRA Personality Actor, Storyteller, and Singer. Born and raised in New York. Throughout her career she has studied with acting coach pioneers such as Harold Clurman, Wynn Handman and Larry Moss. As a young actress she worked with the great Director, Sydney Lumet in The Wiz. As well as Joel T. Schumacher who also wrote the screenplay for The Wiz and later Directed her in a scene with Robert DeNiro in the movie Flawless. She also sang with The Mongo Santamaria Orchestra which allowed her the special gift of sharing and living her Cuban Culture. While briefly living in LA, Denice began teaching acting to aspiring actors, which helped her continue to hone her craft. For 8 years Denice worked as the Talent Coordinator on the Drama Desk Award winning show Celebrity Autobiography. She befriended some of the most prominent performers in the entertainment industry and continues to build lasting relationships. She performs Improv at the PIT in NYC. The short film A TriBeCa Sandwich directed by Patrizia Iuliucci is based on her acting career. It's a true testament to her love and dedication as an Actor. Her goal is to continue to work with Directors and share her passion through storytelling.
