Devang Desai

Devang Desai won his first FILMFARE Award in February 2018. He started off as an assistant in 1998 and completed various Ad films . He was immediately asked to join Choreographer turned director Farah Khan's troupe as a dancer on films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, Mohobbatein, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Dil Se to name a few, where he worked with her for seven years and later took off as an independent choreographer. He did over 200 music videos like HMV's Kabhie aar kabhie paar on wards to NIke Dada ding with Deepika Padukone that got launched at IIFA 2016-17 and Iggey Azalea's Bounce. Working with Eyecandy films and Namah pictures, Devang finished Zee studio and Majid Majidi's Beyond the clouds as a second unit director. Devang was also the choreographer of a sensational hit number Luv Letter with Aditi Rao Haidri for the Waves cinema feature, The legend of Micheal Mishra. Over the last twenty years, Devang worked as a choreographer and song director for Punjabi films like Gippy Grewal's Jatt James Bond, Kaptaan, Double DI trouble, Diljit Dosanjh's Sardaarji 2 for which he got a double nomination at Filmfare Punjab as best choreographer for songs like Poplin and Sardaarji title track. Also, choreographed on ad films like Mojo Ukraine, Ketomac shampoo, Dettol Sheron ke panje, Supertech Rajasthan Royals etc. Devang recently directed two fashion films for RockyS' vintage collection with Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover that got launched at the Bombaytimes fashion week 2017. He has also directed Music videos like Jazzy B's Feem and Gippy Grewal's Lahore. His Latest Releases include Hollywood Wale Nakhre with Sunny Leone, Belafz baatein for Sony Music and Kaise Judaa Rahein in Stebin Ben's Vocals.
