Mary Dibley starred in mostly melodrama and crime dramas in the theatre from the 1890s and starred in many popular British films, first with the London (Cosmo) Film Company in 1912, she was best remembered in crime thrillers such as Aurele Sydney's 'Ultus' film series in the mid 1910s, later she most often appeared as a support in many drama films through the 1920s last seen in a 1928 drama 'The Blue Peter' playing opposite Matheson Lang for the British Filmcraft (W&F) Film Company.
