Date of birth : 11/06/1958
City of birth : Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Rebecca Kyler downs was born in Boston Massachusetts. She studied theater at Tufts University and Opera at Boston Conservatory of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London. She is a published songwriter who sings in five languages and is a member of BMI, SAG-AFTRA and AEA. An actor and musician, Rebecca started singing professionally while still an undergraduate, and moved to New York as soon as she got her masters, supporting herself by singing in clubs like Sardis, Elaine's and The New York Athletic Club, while auditioning for work as an actor. Once she started landing television work she moved to Los Angeles where she continued to find work on TV shows like CSI Miami, Robbery Homicide Division and Monsters, shot independent features in NY, Atlanta and LA, and voiced characters on cartoons and video games like Spider Man, Heretic and the very popular World Of Warcraft series. Her many commercials kept her housed and fed while all of her projects gave her opportunities to work with fine actors like Ed Asner, Tom Sizemore, and Robert Hayes, and with respected directors like Joe Johnston and Jesse Dylan. But theater is still her first and biggest love. Favorite stage roles include the psycho baton twirler in Talking With..., Cassandra in Agamemnon, and, most recently, Katherine Brandt in 33 Variations, for which she was nominated as Best Actress in the Washington Area Theater Honors. Also a professional jazz singer, she hit the Billboard Jazz charts in 2002 with her French and English vocals in the cut "Come Fly Away" on Steve Reid's smooth Jazz CD Dream 'Scapes, a song that she also contributed lyrics to. Her follow up CD Couleur Café showcases her rare ability to move easily and lyrically from one language to another, as well as her ability as a lyricist - in both French and English. Long known as one of the two beautiful girl singers with Red And The Redhots she has sung all over the US and parts of Europe, been featured on national television and was spotlighted in Vogue Magazine, with Leonardo Di Caprio. The title song of her own debut CD Love Me Like Candy - a song she wrote both music and lyrics to - has been featured in multiple film and TV shows including the TV series' Roswell, Cathouse and Oscar-nominated film The Cooler.
