Tiffany Downey is the co-founder of Quarter2Three Records, an independent record label, and Bruce Robb Productions, a music production company for film, television and commercials. (Bruce Robb Productions also offers traditional record production, engineering and musical direction for artists who are not signed to Quarter2Three.) Both companies, which she established with multi-platinum record producer and partner, Bruce Robb, were founded at the legendary Cherokee Studios in Hollywood. At present, Quarter2Three is active with its first roster of signed artists, including legendary blues and R&B musician Robert Bradley (Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise), and blues-rock band The Bihlman Brothers, both of which will debut new records later this year produced by Robb in Cherokee's famous Studio One. Meanwhile, Bruce Robb Productions has been busy in production on the complete score and soundtrack of a new Amy Smart movie titled, Love N' Dancing, for which Robb is the music supervisor-producer and Downey is a music executive. In addition to the arts, Ms. Downey has been devoting a lot of attention to "Rock Your Planet!," an idea she conceived in 2005 capitalizing on her resources in entertainment to create an environmental and sustainability platform that would appeal to popular culture. Rock Your Planet! most recently hosted and co-produced a fund-raising event for The Peace Alliance, with celebrity host Joaquin Phoenix, guest-speaker Marianne Williamson, and musical performers Ringside (Balthazar Getty's band), which raised close to $40,000.00 in one evening at Cherokee Studios. Ms. Downey first came to the professional recording studio, owned by the Robb brothers, to assist with some general business consulting and corporate reorganization. Her most noteworthy contribution was a significant role in the concept and execution of the conversion of their studios' prime real estate on Fairfax Avenue into a future "green" commercial-residential loft development that will retain the "Cherokee Studios" name and pay homage to the historic relevance of the site with memorabilia, Gold records and building elements of the original studios. Most significantly, by partnering with the environmentally focused developer, RE-Think Development, the future structure will boast a Green LEED Gold certificate. Prior to merging her entertainment background with music, Ms. Downey was working with her own staff at her independent film production company, Invoke Pictures. Invoke Pictures maintained a slate of independent films working on both the creative production side, as well as the financing with two former investment bankers from Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers. Under Ms. Downey's leadership, Invoke established strategic relationships with writers and directors, acquired strong material, attached creative talent and secured financing commitments on multiple pictures. Her agenda with Invoke has been to produce artistically driven and commercially viable motion pictures with intrinsic marketing strategies that follow dynamic business models protecting the investor and empowering the filmmakers. Another primary mission was to discover new up-and-coming talent. As one example of those successes, she was proud to see one of the filmmakers she championed, Cecilia Miniucchi, place her first theatrical debut, Expired, in competition at Sundance this year, for which Ms. Downey contributed on development. While Invoke Pictures has scaled down to allow Ms. Downey to devote her attention to her newer businesses, she still retains several properties in various stages of development, including one large feature film for which she has raised over One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars in development financing through Invoke's private equity investor relationships. In addition, there is another completed film in post-production, which will be hiring Bruce Robb Productions for the music and soundtrack. Ms. Downey has worked in entertainment for nearly twenty years now, wearing many different hats both in front of and behind the camera. Having grown up in a family manufacturing business, it was a natural for her to apply her innate business expertise to her passion for the arts. Some of the additional skills she brings to the table are a background in marketing, advertising, branding, promotions, publicity, sponsorship and distribution. She is also a published writer whose feature articles have appeared in national publications. Ms. Downey was educated at Pepperdine University in Malibu and London, The Alliance Francaise in Paris, and numerous specific trade programs and conferences. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), American Film Institute (AFI), the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and has been a member of Independent Feature Project West (IFP/West, now FIND) since the early '90's. She has traveled extensively, lived in London, New York and Paris, and speaks fluent French. Tiffany Downey is passionate about the importance of the arts, environmental sustainability and corporate business ethics. While she spends most of her time absorbed in entertainment, she also enjoys physics, and is working with an award-winning NASA physicist on an alternative energy research project.
