George Dyer of the San Francisco Police Dept. was used as character inspiration for the title role of Harry Callahan played by Clint Eastwood. Diane and her family were acquaintances of producer Don Siegel prior to the conception of the film. George Dyer died in 2005 at the age of 81. Diane later attended the Fashion Institute in San Francisco and then moved to Arizona to be close to her parents. Diane was married in 2001 to husband Matthew and has two children.
