Konstantin Dzhidrov-Dzhidrata was born on May 7, 1930 in Istanbul , Turkey . He received his secondary education in Sofia in 1948. In the Art Academy in Sofia he studied subjects "Illustration" in the class of Professor Kiril Tsonev ( 1950 ), and the "Theatre painting" in the class of Professr Ivan Penkov ( 1954 ). In 1957 Konstantin Dzhidrov was expelled from the Union of Bulgarian artists , because he had spoken in defense of Professor Kiril Tsonev, who was accused in " formalism ". He has been restored in the early 80th. To combine the profession of artist-designer and operator he takes exams for cinema and TV cinematography at "Boyana" Film Studios and shoot a film commissioned by the Cologne TV - "Mountain shepherd" (1964). Since then Dzhidrov worked as an artist and producer, cinematographer and director in 'Boyana' Film Studios and Studio "Screen". His name is associated with more than 110 feature films and documentaries. In 1964 he led the pantomime "Experimental Theatre '64" in Sofia and Shumen . He worked as a theater set decorator in National Theatre "Ivan Vazov" , Youth Theatre , Satirical Theatre (with Bojan Danovski ), Dramatic Theatre "Vasil Drumev" Shoumen, in Burgas , Ruse and Sliven theaters. Konstantin Dzhidrov also manifests as an illustrator in "People's Youth", "Bulgarian writer", " Folk Culture " and "National Education". He also worked as an artist-decorator of museums and exhibitions - Museum " Emilian Stanev " in Veliko Tarnovo , Museum Vaptsarov in Bansko , Plovdiv Fair and others. Together with director Valo Radev and architectural team created "Panorama Bulgarian culture 1300 years".His monumental sculptures are on the facade of the Museum of Batak , the facade of the town hall in Abu Dhabi , United Arab Emirates and Medical Center in Tripoli , Libya . Konstantin Dzhidrov taught at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia , Varna Free University and the New Bulgarian University . He successively became an associate professor and later professor of plastic film and set design . He died on January 13, 2015 in Sofia.
