Always the do-er and not the reader, English terminated his formal education, In Dublin, at the sixth grade. Greatly influenced by the work of the Beatles, Steven acquired a guitar before his 13th birthday and began playing soft-rock tunes in local pubs, parks, and on street corners. Growing up in the civil-war torn streets of Dublin in the 70s and 80s turned English into something of a brawler-fortunately he was able to turn this energy into an amateur boxing career, failing to be Ireland's entry to the 1984 Olympics only because of a bout with the flu. In 1981, Steven traveled to Germany, where he joined, with Tonto Clarkton, the European rock group "Das Banhaus." In 1987, English arrived, with Clarkton in the States, and he and Clarkton appeared in Southern California nightclubs as a duo, featuring songs and light comedy. After rock legend Buxx Banner formed his "Major G and the G-men" English joined his former partner, Clarkton, and appeared on several tours with the group and on two recording sessions, serving as producer on the groups "Live at the Laurel Lounge" album. English's strong physical background served him well as stunt co-ordinator on Banner's mini-classic "Dissarray"(1991). Steven is now the entertainment director for a multi-club conglomerate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
