Mark Ellis is a writer and showrunner with over 100 hours of produced television to his credit. He and his partner Stephanie Morgenstern co-created and executive produced Flashpoint for CBS/CTV. They were designated Showrunners of the Year by the Writers' Guild of Canada and earned the Sea to Sky Innovative Producers Award at the Banff World Media Festival. Flashpoint is licensed in over 100 territories and translated into 22 languages. Ellis co-wrote twenty of Flashpoint's 75 episodes, earning a Gemini nomination for Best Writing in a TV Drama for 'Haunting The Barn,' a Writers' Guild nomination for 'One Wrong Move,' and winning both the Gemini and the Writers' Guild Awards for 'Jumping at Shadows.' Mark and Stephanie are also the co-creators, writers, Executive Producers and showrunners of the WWII espionage drama X Company (CBC/Sony Television) which shot in Budapest over three seasons. It was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Drama, and the pair won Best Drama writing at the Writers Guild awards. Mark and Stephanie most recently helped develop season two of Transplant for NBC and CTV.
