Carlo Essagian is a Canadian-born film and television actor with principal roles in almost every medium, including voice work in a variety of cartoon series, an audio book and more. Essagian's bilingual comedic live performances include the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival/Festivale Juste Pour Rire and a variety of corporate presentations, both as Talent and Presenter. Essagian also produces and directs films and is a member of ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Television & Radio Artists), UdA (Union des Artistes), CMPA (Canadian Media Producer's Association) , and ACCT (Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television). After graduating from McGill University in Film and Communications, Essagian explored the dynamics of private consulting in advertising, strategic marketing and development of businesses and special events. Essagian consulted as an entertainment and promotions director for a large franchise chain of restaurants in Quebec, La Cage au Sports, as well as for independent small to midsized businesses; Biddles, Bijou, Sports rock Café, and Montreal's landmark 'La Maison Ogilvy'. Essagian conceptualized and negotiated sales, mergers and acquisitions in the advertising and franchising fields prior to diving, full time, into the creative and evolving movie/entertainment industry. After pioneering the ACTRA (Montreal), Member Initiated Production of the short film, "Life of Smiley", with a team of talented colleagues and associates, Essagian moved to Toronto, Ontario and went on to produce an ACTRA (TIP) Toronto Independent Production, short film, entitled, "Driver's Test", where he received an award of recognition as Director (Boston International Film Festival 2007).
