Biography

Jordan Canning's short films have played at festivals all over the world, including the Tribeca Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival and Interfilm Berlin. She directed all twenty-three episodes of Space Riders: Division Earth, which won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Digital Series and four Canadian Comedy Awards, including Best Director. Her first feature, We Were Wolves, premiered at TIFF 2014. Her second feature, Suck It Up, premiered at Slamdance 2017 and won Best Feature Film at the 2017 B3 Frankfurt Biennale. Her third feature, the omnibus film Ordinary Days, won Best Director at the 2018 Canadian Film Festival. She has directed on numerous series, including two seasons of the Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning Schitt's Creek. Her TV work includes hour-long dramas - Saving Hope, Burden of Truth, Nurses, Family Law, Pretty Hard Cases - and half-hour comedies - Baroness Von Sketch Show, This Hour Has 22 Minutes and the Apple TV+ reboot of Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock. She has won two Canadian Screen Awards and a DGC Award for directing.
