John Campo worked for the New York City Sanitation Department by day and acted in theater and short film by night. He was discovered by students at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and became a favorite among student filmmakers, many of whom cast him in their shorts and music videos. He was beloved among the NYU Film School community. In the late stages of his career he moved to California where he took small but crucial roles in Adam Bhala Lough's film WEAPONS, which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival, and Ben Rekhi's CARBABES.
