Carole Carle is the oldest daughter of Walter R. Carle and Louise Carle. Carole's birth was actually announced in The Hollywood Reporter as her father was then a news director and television news broadcaster in that city. Her mother was a radio singer and disc jockey. The family moved to Grand Rapids, MI, when she was a child, and Carole began doing musical theater in high school and some community theater. Eventually her family moved back to L.A. Carole was with the national company of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, opposite John Raitt, Howard Keel, and as understudy to Tammy Grimes. After a short career in television and film, she had left acting for pursuit of her true passion, the paranormal. She has studied spirits, Charles Fortean phenomena, and for the past decade, she has researched the Fox Sisters and the roots of American Spiritualism. She and her composer husband have completed a musical based on the Hydesville Rappings. She is also a contributor to the Earth Mystery News website and hosts her own radio show, Behind the Obsidian Curtain, on internet radio KGRA in Jefferson, Iowa.
