Chee Kong Cheah

Cheah Chee Kong, also known as CheeK, is a Malaysia-born Singaporean writer, director, TV series creator, producer and creative media executive. The feature film Chicken Rice War and musical drama series The Kitchen Musical are some of his notable works - music and food being recurring motifs in his storytelling. He was a senior creative and content executive at Disney (APAC) as a key member of the team that launched Disney+ Japan; MTV Asia and MTV Japan; STAR TV; Scripps (Asia Pacific), among others. On the personal side, CheeK is known to be a wine enthusiast with a Diploma in Wines and Spirits (WSET) and Certified Sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers) certifications. He attended high school in Penang Free School and studied Economics, Political Science and Sociology at the National University of Singapore.
