In 2010, Fernando turned his focus to his acting career, appearing as Fenroy in Gavin O'Connor's WARRIOR alongside Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton, and Nick Nolte (who received an Academy Award nomination). The film has attained cult status and is currently #135 on IMDB's Top 250 films of all time. Fernando guest-starred as fan-favorite Wade Wei in the wildly popular and critically acclaimed web series THE GUILD opposite Felicia Day. THE GUILD received Best Series awards from Yahoo and YouTube and is one of the most viewed web shows in history. As the tech-savvy Lt. Wilkes, Fernando shined alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in Justin Lin's massive worldwide hit FAST FIVE, which opened to $86 million domestically on the way to well over $600 million in international box office. Reteaming with WARRIOR director Gavin O'Connor and writer Anthony Tambakis, Fernando played iconoclastic lawyer "Tokyo Dan" Manning in the A & E pilot CINNAMON GIRL. The show, created by Tambakis and Oscar-winner Renee Zellweger, was set in the late 60s Laurel Canyon music scene. The $7 million price tag on the pilot was the highest in A & E history. Fernando has also had memorable roles as Lt. Pak in Dan Bradley's RED DAWN (opposite Chris Hemsworth), and as Prof. Heng in Wally Pfister's TRANSCENDENCE (alongside Johnny Depp). He has also appeared in box-office smashes IRON MAN 3, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER and on the international big screen as the feared General Wu in Nick Powell's OUTCAST (opposite Nic Cage and Hayden Christensen).As DHS Intelligence agent, Sorkis in Gavin O'Connor's new film THE ACCOUNTANT alongside all-star cast Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, JK Simmons, John Lithgow and Jeffrey Tambor. In Season 3 of Michael Bay's, THE LAST SHIP on TNT, Fernando plays the season's antagonist and recurring guest-star as the ruthless Chinese President Peng Wu. Fernando is also developing a screenplay with his director/cousin Tiffany Hsiung (The Apology) called 'Sunny'.
