Born in Montreal, Canada in 1948, Larry was a guest soloist at the age of 14 with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, under Seiji Ozawa. After graduating from the Quebec Conservatory, he began composing, and playing with groups in New York City in 1968, recording the albums "Stone Circus" and "The Diary Of Mr Gray". Returning to Montreal in 1972, he branched into blues, R&B, and theatre, and began writing soundtracks for the National Film Board in 1978. In 1980, he appeared with his group Crime (Creative Research Into Musical Expression) in Terror Train (1980), and has been scoring features since 1989.
