Phil Comeau lives in Montreal and Moncton. He directs and writes in both drama and documentary genres. His first feature drama, Jerome's secret, won 15 awards worldwide. It was followed by the TV movies Teen Knight and The Crash of the Century. He directed popular TV series including Gemini winning series Emily of New Moon, Pit Pony, Lassie (remake) and the Gemeaux award winning series Tribu.com in Quebec. In docudrama series, he directed the hit series Mayday (Air Disasters, Air Crash investigations), The Definitive Guide and The New Detectives. He also directed and wrote four feature length documentaries, The Nature of Frederic Back, Zachary Richard Cajun Heart, Vague d'Acadie and Secretariat's Jockey Ron Turcotte. His work has been recognized worldwide with some 170 awards at festivals. For his outstanding contribution to the enrichment of culture, cinema and television, Phil received the Order of Arts and Letters in France and the Order of Canada. His work has been translated in 26 languages.
