Raisa Gorbacheva

Raisa Maksimovna Gorbacheva is a Soviet and Russian public figure, wife of the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the CPSU, USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev. During the reign of her husband, she became one of the active women on a European scale, became a laureate of a number of public awards, an honorary professor at universities in Europe, America, and Asia.
