Rob Goodman was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Edinboro University with a BA in Applied Media Arts with a minor in Art History, and a specialization in conventional and computer animation. One of his first recognized projects was an animated video for children entitled 'Animation Vacation'. Upon graduation and moving to South Florida, Goodman segued his talents into Television, Feature Film and Commercial Production. He has held positions in several areas of Production including, Directing, Producing, Casting, Grip, Electric, and on screen talent. His resume boasts over 200 commercials with such companies as Industrial Light and Magic, AT&T, Credit Suisse, Pepsi and USA Broadcasting. In 1998 Goodman and Tom Brown formed Goodman Brown Productions and embarked on their first feature film, 531 (2001). Goodman's ambitious vision is the film's center. He wanted to take on the challenge of shooting this film inside a moving car, shot mostly at night. The technical pressures of this type of project, required not only a high level of commitment form its leader, Rob, but also extreme tenacity. Since shooting 531, Goodman has directed tow projects for non-profit organizations, focusing on the issue of children with disabilities. Another area in which Rob vents his self-expression is through the arts of Painting and Graphic Design. Rob's paintings and murals have been exhibited in Erie Pennsylvania and South Florida. His computer graphic designs have been instrumental in conveying the feeling of his film 531. Rob currently lives in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where he and Tom Brown are developing their next feature film entitled 'Brother'.
