Nikolaus Gröbe's first movie role was already a lead in Frank Beyer's film 'Der Verdacht' of 1989. A second main role followed the same year, this time in 'Einmal Arizona', directed by Hans-Günther Bücking. Nikolaus Gröbe has since appeared in many TV feature films and serials, such as 'Derrick', 'Der Landarzt', 'Die Stadtindianer', 'Im Namen des Gesetzes', and 'Siska'. He continuously played in the serials 'Königstein' and 'Marienhof' from 1996-98, and during the last two years he performed in the comedy 'Der Raub der Sabinerinnen' at theaters in Berlin, Hamburg, and Dresden. 2001/2002 he played at the Berliner Kriminaltheater in 'Die Mausefalle' (Mousetrap), 2003/2004 at the Komische Oper Berlin the tutelary in 'Die Geschichte vom Soldaten'. At the Berliner Staatsoper Unter den Linden Nikolaus staged 'Kalif Storch und das Zauberwort', also appearing as narrator. His most recent arrangement and staging of 'The Nutcracker Suite' features the renowned Saxon Brass Philharmonics and was playing at theaters in Saxony. Nikolaus also spoke almost all roles in the latest version of 'Schlaumäuse', an interactive software for the development of children's lingual skills personally launched by Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer in November 2012. 'Schlaumäuse' helps children in more than 7000 German day care centers explore the world(s) of language (Deutscher Bildungsmedien Preis 2013/German Educational Media Award). Nikolaus will be collaborating with the Konzerthaus am Berliner Gendarmenmarkt in various projects during 2012 and 2013.
