Wayne Hackett is a recipient of a 2003 Gold World Medal from the New York Film Festival for family programs (directing / coordinating producer on "Animal Kidding" - LMNO Productions). The Learning Channel's "Baby Story" garnered an Emmy the year Wayne directed the series. His film directorial debut "Sensitive Johnson" won a Gold Medal at the Park City Film Festival and was an official selection at the Dances with Wolves Film Festival in Los Angeles. Wayne works on stage live with many artists (Tribune entertainment "Bowsers' Rockin Roll Party": Leslie Gore, Ben E. King (Stand by Me), The Coasters, Del Shannon and the Marvelettes). Last year he directed "Wartime Romance," a Broadway musical getting ready to tour and currently is in pre-production on his next film "Eradicator." His first effort Creating and Producing a comedy relationship show was a very successful syndicated strip series distributed by MGM/UA, called "Straight To The Heart." Wayne launched his professional career in front of the camera in commercials and co-starring in films such as "Vice Squad" for Embassy Pictures. He also has guest starred in Network Television Shows including ABC's "Psychic Detectives" and "L.A. Law." Behind the camera he has produced and directed for Network shows such as: "Spy TV" and "Friday Night," for NBC; "Circus of the Stars" for CBS; "Too Good to Be True" an NBC Prime Time Special, and "Totally Hidden Video," series for Fox TV. He directed Docu-Dramas for "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol" a daily series for New World and "Lifeguard" a pilot for syndication. On the Dick Clark show "Your Big Break" and a hidden camera show called "Card Sharks" his comedic direction flourished as ordinary people were placed in extraordinarily funny situations. He also has worked with professional comedians Whoppi Goldberg, Tim Conway, and others on the comedy show "Make Your Move" for Aaron Spelling. In creative development are television, film and stage projects. Wayne has developed a trade-mark style of quality fresh productions with an on-the-set atmosphere of harmonious teamwork. One actor recently commented "working with Wayne is very inspiring." Before Wayne's TV / Film career he was a professional musician. He still plays the drums and being born in Michigan, is especially fond of Motown tunes. He is married and enjoys his home, koi pond and fruit orchard. He also has a 100 acre ranch in West Virginia. Wayne is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Producers Guild of America, The Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
