Howard Hammick grew up as a film buff and music lover in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Along with Tom Wescott, who would later become his co-star in the film, Party Crasher: My Bloody Birthday (2000), Howard auditioned for the film 'Ambush in Waco', an NBC Movie of the Week chronicling the David Koresh/FBI tragedy. Unlike most bio-pics, this one was filmed AS the stand-off took place, on an Oklahoma set made to duplicate the Waco compound. Howard found himself playing a tire-carrying Davidian. His friend, Tom, struck up a relationship with star Clu Gulager who was shooting a short film nearby. After having worked on the set, Tom introduced Clu to Howard. Howard immediately went to work on the set as a camera assistant and began studying film acting in Clu's class. Within months Howard landed the part of 'Speedy' in 'Party Crasher'. Since then he has concentrated on music, playing drums and singing off and on in a band with Tom Wescott. Howard has not excluded the possibility of returning to film, and is always open to accepting offers
