Ron Harris was born in Brooklyn, New York City. Harris attended New York's High School of Performing Arts. Ron went on to work as an assistant to top fashion photographer Francesco Scavullo. Moreover, Harris himself was a fashion photographer in New York for over forty years with over 25,000 published photographs to his credit; said photographs were published in such notable magazines as Elle, Vogue, and Cosmopolitan. In addition, Ron has over 450 Art Director Awards and 13 gold medals for artistic excellence to his credit. In 1982 Harris made and released Aerobicise (1980), which was the first of several highly popular and successful aerobics workout programs that Harris has done. Ron also produced and directed TV programs for Playboy Television between the years 1995 and 1999. In 2003 Harris launched his own website called Harris Archive. Ron subsequently teamed up with the clothing manufacturer American Apparel for their line of erotic aerobic wear in 2013.
