Born in Brooklyn, NY, Kejuan "Havoc" Muchita, is a two-time Grammy Award nominated music producer (2011 and 2017), and multiplatinum recording artist of international acclaim. He began his creative journey while attending High School of Art and Design in Manhattan, with the intention of becoming an architect. Which he did. Just a different kind. Havoc's production highlights include memorable hip-hop anthems and classics, plus an extensive discography of collaborations and production credits with fellow music luminaries the Notorious BIG, 50 Cent, Nas, Method Man, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Eminem, Foxy Brown, Lil' Kim, Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J., Diddy, etc., etc. His road to music originated in Queensbridge, NY, in his mid-teens with partner Prodigy (the two met attending high school). With their first record deal before they were voting age, the duo chose the moniker "Mobb Deep", and went on to achieve indisputably legendary status. In between were 8 album releases; with four of those ranking Top 10 on Billboard's Top 200; eight songs and a Top 10 single on the Hot 100 chart, plus 19 songs (including three Top 10s) on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop singles chart. In the UK, they had three albums and a Top 10 single. Embedded with hyper-visual lyricism, dark soundscapes, gritty narratives, and hard-hitting drums, Havoc's signature production for Mobb Deep showcased the ominous sound he became known for. He was ranked as one of the Top Producers by Complex Magazine, and Rolling Stone bestowed "Shook Ones Pt. II" with the venerable status of 'One of the 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time'." Mobb Deep is now noteworthy as pioneers of New York 90's hip-hop and are considered by peers, critics and fans alike, to be one of the most successful duos in hip hop history, having created a fan base that even after Prodigy's tragic passing in 2017, remains loyal to brand to this day. Havoc is a playable character in the video game 'Def Jam: Fight for NY'. Havoc's songs have been used in many popular and high profile films and TV series. Low-key and well-liked, over the years, the multi-hyphenate expanded his sound to include more commercial radio hits, such as "Famous", featuring Rihanna, "Have A Party" featuring 50 Cent, and original music for ESPN, Hamilton the Musical, and other more popularly accessible media projects and outlets.
