Martin Hernandez is a Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer. Academy Award nominee Best Sound Editing in 2014 for Birdman and 2015 for The Revenant by Alejandro G Iñarritu. British Academy's BAFTA Winner for The Revenant and BAFTA nominee for Pan's Labyrinth, Babel and Birdman. Martin Hernandez is (2020) heading the Sound Post division at Cinematic Media. As part of the group lead by Epigmenio Ibarra's Argos. Developing series for Netflix and Amazon. Some of the projects under Martin Hernandez supervision and sound design include: Diego Luna's 'Pan y Circo', 'Dani Who?' and 'Hernan' for Amazon. 'Yankee', 'The Club' and 'Dark Desire' for Netflix. Recently Hernandez finished alongside Iñarritu a Re Mixed version of 'Amores Perros' Soundtrack soon to be released by Criterion Collection on the 20th Anniversary of the film. Starting his career in 1985 as Radio host and producer at Mexico City's WFM969 along with Alejandro G Iñarritu, creating radio short stories and 'on air' production style that became a landmark in that era. In 1998, Hernandez started sound design for film with Alejandro's first feature: Amores Perros, adding numerous accolades among the Golden Globe nomination and Academy's nomination for Best Foreign Film. Since then, Martin has collaborated with Directors such as Fernando Meirelles (City Of God), Guillermo Del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy II), Sean Penn (Into The Wild), Walter Salles (On The Road), Joe Swanberg (Digging For Fire and Win It All), Josephine Decker (Thou Wast Mild and Lovely and Madeline's Madeline)
