Frank started his show biz career on CFRB Toronto radio in his early teens hosting a show called "Kellogg's Circle K". In 1943, he joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Montreal, as an announcer and eventually rose to producer of CBC Radio Variety. During World War II, he went overseas with a troop show to entertain troops in England and Europe. Aside from his work as Producer, he and Dorothy co-hosted a children's show on CBC-TV and radio for 18 years and he continued appearances outside CBC performing on stage, in movies, etc. In 1971, he retired from show business and he and Dorothy moved to Thousand Oaks, California, and opened a bookstore. In 1992, they moved to Scotsdale, Arizona then in 1996 they moved to Grimsby, Ontario. Frank is pre-deceased by his parents Hugh David Sr & Marcella. Frank had two brothers; Hugh David "Dave" Heron Jr. (who died February 19, 2001) & Harold Gladstone Heron.
