Tania Hermida

Born in Cuenca, Ecuador. Studied Film Direction at the International Film and TV School of San Antonio de los Banos, EICTV, Cuba (1991), where she directed her first short films. Holds a Master Degree in Cultural Studies and diplomas in Creative Writing (Escuela de Letras de Madrid) and Aesthetics of Cinema (University of Valladolid). Film teacher at Universidad San Francisco de Quito (1996-2007) and Universidad de las Artes (Ecuador, 2016-2017). Member of the New Latin American Cinema Foundation since 2017.
