Dark haired actress and writer Rosina Henley born in 1890. Became popular on drama theatre from the mid 1900's. A brilliant leading and support player in a handful of popular American silent drama and comedy movies, first working under the direction of Frederick A. Thomas in the comedy 'The Lightning Conductor' starring Dustin Farnum in 1914, she is best remembered as Mercia, the Christian maid in the historical drama 'Sign of the Cross' starring William Farnum at Famous Players Film Co in 1914 and also in her last film as Mrs. Montgomery in 'Courage for Two' directed by Dell Henderson and starring Carlyle Blackwell for the World Film Co in 1919. She was married to British film director Harley Knoles. Rosina and her husband Harley moved to England in the early 1920's. Mother of pulp novelist William Henley Knoles.
