Born to Merlin Henry and Luana Winn Hilton. Father was local radio magnate who built Utah's first country music radio station and promoted country music shows. Michael grew up around the music and entertainment business, performing in and directing local stage productions, hosting a radio show, Emceeing various events and doing the occasional extra work. He also worked for over 20 years as a professional photographer and contributing writer for Utah Entertainment Magazine doing reviews of groups like Boston and photographing myriads of concerts such as The Who, Heart, Kenny Rogers etc. He served a successful Missionary experience in the LDS Church's Alaskan Canadian Mission and returned to do a stint in the US Air Force 191st AME as an Aeromedical Evacuation Technician caring for wounded soldiers being flown to military hospitals. He moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1979 and as a single dad raised his two sons from his first marriage, Christopher Michael (b. March 1972) & Thomas Arron (b. April 1975) while appearing in local productions at Eugene's Very Little Theater. His longest continuous role was as a very popular Santa Claus every Holiday season for over 45 years. His second marriage to Lori ended with her untimely death in 2003. She had brought with her two sons from a previous relationship, James David (b. January 1992)and Blake Delano (b. November 1994) that Michael treated like his own. His two natural sons now have two children, Christoper has Alexandria Raelynn (b. March 1991)and Tommy has Madison Haley (b. February 2006). He is now a top rated seller on eBay and does photography every July at The Oregon Country Fair.
