Katrina M. Fernandez is a highly regarded Executive Producer / Show runner with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, covering music, non scripted and scripted television, feature film and event production. Fernandez began her career in London as a Promoter and Manager when she was recruited to join prestigious Warner Bros. Records where she represented a roster of over 150 top-level recording artists in the International market including, Neil Young, Van Halen, k.d. lang, Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers to name a few. After her career in the music industry, Fernandez founded her own indie production company, Straight Edge Productions. Through Straight Edge, she Produced the cult classic film, SLC Punk!, as well as the film's iconic soundtrack release for Hollywood Records. Katrina's other feature film credits include Magicians, Amerikana (first U.S. Lars Van Triers sanctioned Dogme film) and the six part television mini-series Alexandria Hotel produced for Italian RAI television, Next Fernandez starting working in non-scripted television producing Deal Or No Deal for Telemundo. Fernandez decided to focus on the U.S.'s growing Hispanic entertainment market. She served as the Executive Producer / Show runner on Univision's top rated Mira Quien Baila for three seasons. Next Fernandez successfully helped the The Voice format move into the U.S. Latin market, serving as an Executive Producer / Show runner for Telemundo's hit show La Voz Kids. In both cases, Fernandez pushed Hispanic production quality to a higher level, while achieving record-breaking numbers for both leading U.S. Hispanic networks. In addition to being a Consulting Executive Producer for Season 3 of La Voz Kids, Fernandez is still actively involved in the production of the prestigious Los Angeles Art Show, which she produced for 6 years. Katrina is an Honors graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, with a B.A in Communications.
