A pioneer of Hungarian film arts. For the first time he stood in front of a camera together with his brother, Aladár Fenyõ in 1912 in the photographic studio of Ödön Uher in the Lajos Kossuth street, where they shot the social drama Nõvérek (1912). He is a popular actor of the first half of the silent era. In the period of decline he entered into engagement with the Emelka factory in Munich, then he played at home again. In the sound picture era he plays mostly episode characters, but he is among the few who served steadily our film making for more then half a century. He directed twice.
