David Finch

David Finch, a Montreal-based producer/director of Cree-Ojibway heritage, has produced and directed many social-issue, historical and biographical documentaries, and more recently, documentary series, for national and international broadcast and screenings. Together with partner Maureen Marovitch, he has garnered numerous international awards, including top honours at Hot Docs in Toronto, the Columbus Film and Video Festival, Minnasota Web-Fest and Yorkton. Their films have also screened at the Montreal World Film Festival, ImaginNative, Native Insights, and the American Indian Film Festival David is senior producer at Picture This Productions, and is an adjunct professor of cinema studies at Champlain College.
